MLK Food Drive
In honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s powerful legacy of service, individuals with disabilities are coming together to show that “everyone can be great, because anyone can serve.” This food drive is more than just a collection of canned goods — it’s a celebration of unity, compassion, and the belief that every person has the power to make a difference, including people with disabilities.
Dr. King taught us that service knows no boundaries, and through this effort, people of all abilities are demonstrating their strength, generosity, and commitment to their community. By participating in this food drive, you’re not just helping to fight hunger — you’re standing in solidarity with a movement that uplifts inclusion and shows that everyone’s contributions matter.
On the third Monday of January, we honor the righteous leadership of Martin Luther King Jr. by not taking a day off, but by making it a day of service. This day inspires the community to contribute and engage in volunteering activities through platforms such as Points of Light. Take action and improve your neighborhoods through acts of kindness.
During the month of May 2024, we had an exceptional turn out from the community! Here are some of the statistics of the impact the food drive had this year.
