The Arc of the Quad Cities Area is introducing the Catalyst Awards, Dinner, & Auction designed to ignite a passion for inclusion. The Catalyst Awards will take place Friday, April 20th at the Camden Centre in Milan, Illinois starting at 5:30 p.m.
The Arc of the Quad Cities Area’s Catalyst Awards has been created to recognize individuals, businesses, and other organizations that are catalysts for achievement in the lives of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). Each honoree has done something remarkable that helps fulfill The Arc’s mission to empower people with disabilities to believe in their own unique abilities and achieve their full potential. Their work embodies what inclusion truly means.
Furthermore, their contributions are of community-wide significance because they advance public understanding and acceptance of people with I/DD in a variety of areas – from employment and philanthropy to education and beyond. These awards provide an opportunity to honor like-minded leaders in fields both inside and outside our network who are trailblazing to make the future more inclusive.
The goal of these awards is to turn a spotlight on individuals and organizations that are setting an example of what civil rights for people with I/DD should be. The achievement of our honorees serves as an important vehicle for educating the public about people with I/DD.
