The global pandemic and events of 2020 and 2021 have opened our eyes wider to the inequity in our world. The time is now to act with swift urgency to deliver on the promise of Dr. King’s example and mission.
Martin Luther King Jr. asked a question, “What are you doing for others?” The Arc has answered that call with a mobile food pantry to help address food insecurity. This project is one of many food related events in honor of Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy that will take place in 2022.
MLK Day of Service activities is provided by the Corporation for National & Community Service, The Arc of the Quad Cities Area, the Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center and the River Bend Food Bank.
